SDGs

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a list of 17 goals which are intended as an urgent call to action for public and private organisations. They aim to end poverty, improve health and education, manage inequality and tackle climate change by 2030. By involving both businesses and governments the SDGs hope to achieve these ambitious goals sooner than if the world was waiting for legislation to happen in each country first. As many multinational organisations have more wealth than some countries it makes sense to get private businesses involved in this way.

The Basics

Where To Start?

Case Study

With 17 goals and a subset of 169 actions, there are plenty of ways that even the smallest businesses can get involved. However, with so many options choosing where to start may seem overwhelming. As with all sustainable business practices, start small but think big. Choose goals that are directly relevant to your business and examine ways in which you are already supporting the SDGs. Make your commitment public so that your customers, business partners and employees are aware of why some things may change.

This section will give you lots of information and ideas to get started.
